The history of JST Group can be traced back to the incorporation of Azlan Letrik & Mekanikal (ALM) in 1980.  ALM is an electrical contractor registered with the Energy Commission, the Pusat Khidmat Kontraktor of the Ministry of Entrepreneur and Co-operative Development, the Construction Industry Development Board and Tenaga Nasional Berhad.  The company has since completed various projects for both the public and private sectors.

Recognising the significant potential of the UPS market and the synergistic benefits that will arise from the complementary nature of such business with that of ALM’s, the ownership rights of the UPS brand name “PowerKinetics” was acquired in June 2003 by ALM’s holding company.  Such rights were subsequently assigned to JST Technology Sdn Bhd (JSTT) a private limited company which was incorporated in May 1996.

Together JSTT and ALM operate as a comprehensive, one-stop, integrated power protection solutions provider; with JSTT on the R&D, marketing and provision of UPS; and ALM focusing on the R&D and provision of UPS related maintenance services.

Today, JSTT has a team of innovative engineers and researchers with the mission to provide customers with quality uninterruptible power protection solutions that are competitive and second to none.  With the committed sales and marketing team, worldwide network and world-class engineering team, JSTT is able to provide its wide range of power protection solutions spanning across Europe, Asia, Australia, Africa and Middle East.

The Group’s products are sold through its representatives, electrical distributors, computer distributors, power specialist/consultants and direct sales, which cater to a broad spectrum of application markets, including the oil and gas, telecommunication, transportation, entertainment and healthcare industries, government and public infrastructures, as well as educational and financial institutions.  To date, JST Group’s modular power protection solutions have been successfully implemented in many countries across various industries.
